I have a new shoe crush, and it comes from a very unlikely place – Clark’s. Now, I haven’t brought a pair of shoes from Clark’s for a very, very long time, and in all honesty it probably wasn’t me but my mum, and it was most probably a pair of Start Rite* shoes for school. I told you it was eons ago.
So the current object of my desire is
A rather odd name for a shoe, but it does not detract from its looks, and the cut out detail is very clever as it appears lighten the over all appearance of the shoe, making it less heavy looking. If this colour is a little too light for you it is also available in mushroom.
As well as Navy
I am currently favouring Cotton, the Navy looks good, but with spring (hopefully) round the corner I fancy a lighter colour.
There are plenty of other brogue styles available like these from M&S
I do like these, but I prefer the Clark’s version, I thought you’re beginning to sound like an Aldi ad. Sue, so I decided to have a look on the net to see what else is out there.
A new name for me, but I have read goods reviews by fellow bloggers.
Great colour, on the site it is called grey, but is one of those colours that seems to take on the tone of what you are wearing – in other words goes with everything!
I found these at Top Shop.
These from ASOS
Now Clark’s seem to be on a roll at the moment, they have a number of different styles this season,
So how do I see myself when hopefully I am wearing them? Well, great with either skinny or boyfriend jeans. For a smarter look, with tailored trousers and a blazer style jacket, perhaps a loose fitting knit with a statement necklace, think Catherine Hepburn! I also think styled with a prim little dress or, how about a shirt dress? Or if you’ve got the pins shorts!
How would you style these? Do tell please.
See you soon
Sue x
